Any doctor who has taken the MRCP Part 1 exam would say that the exam is not hard because of the level of medicine it tests. It is hard because of the size of the exam’s scope in terms of the syllabus and the depth of the questions.

In most cases what happens is, a candidate gets registered for the January exam when the booking opens in October. However, between the work schedule and the responsibilities of their job, studying is delayed until December. By that time, only a little over a month is left until the exam. At that point time is not on the test-taker’s side. And many questions will  remain unanswered.

Most candidates who successfully pass the exam don’t study longer than candidates who don’t. The difference is that successful candidates schedule their MRCP Part 1 preparation, study earlier and cover topics in a way that ensures they don’t have to revisit topics.

When to Start Preparing?

To catch the MRCP Part 1 exam to be held in January 2027, three months is still enough time.  You will have roughly 14 weeks remaining even if you start preparing in October.

This is enough time for you to go through every learning module in detail. You can also take several timed practice tests.

If you delay the MRCP exam preparation, you will have to cram whatever comes before you in the final weeks before the exam. You will not be able to develop the ability of pattern recognition that the examination generally follows.

It is important that candidates complete the entire syllabus of the exam. The topics have to be covered in enough depth that they don’t lose focus along the way.

Structuring Your Preparation for MRCP Part 1, Jan 2027 Diet

It is a must to structure your preparation in the same way the MRCP exam is structured as you prepare for the 2027 diet. Below is what you should be preparing for the exam.

  • Respiratory Medicine
  • Clinical Sciences
  • Cardiology
  • Neurology
  • Psychiatry
  • Dermatology
  • Medical ophthalmology
  • Rheumatology
  • Renal medicine
  • Oncology
  • Palliative medicine and end of life care
  • Geriatric medicine
  • Infectious diseases
  • Gastroenterology
  • Hepatology
  • Clinical Pharmacology & therapeutics
  • Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolic Medicine

You may want to cover all of the above to be sure of unexpected ‘surprises’ during the exam.

We have planned a course for you that rightly matches this preparation structure.
Here is a gist of what our upcoming batch of students preparing for the Jan 2027 diet will get.

  • We will go over the complete MRCP Part 1 syllabus in modules and cover it in a system based approach.
  • We will have 18+ live interactive sessions, where along with teaching, we will cover high-yield questions.
  • We will do monthly mock tests and a mega mock at the end.
  • We will have 6+ MRCP mentors, who will guide you throughout your preparation journey.
  • Along with all this, we will provide you all session recordings and lecture slides.
  • We will help you practice high-yield questions, address learning gaps and reinforce learning with innovative learning methodologies.
  • There will be an exclusive study group, along with mentor support.

It is not the length of content that determines the quality of an MRCP Part 1 course, rather it is the structure, and the amount of exam-like questions provided.

Our – 3 month regular course offers all of the above.

The batch starts on 1st October 2026, and registrations are already open! Enrol as soon as possible so that you wouldn’t miss the seat.
