MRCP PACES exam format

The MRCP PACES (Practical Assessment of Clinical Examination Skills) exam is designed to test clinical competence, communication, and decision-making skills of MRCP aspirants in real-world settings.

The exam consists of five clinical stations. Each station lasts 20 minutes and is assessed by two independent examiners. Candidates rotate through the stations in a carousel format, where they will encounter both real and simulated patients. You can start at any station and move to the next station every 20 minutes until completing it all. There will be a short 5-minute break provided between stations.
